The Los Seis de Boulder Public Art Dedication honors the placement of a new piece of public artwork created by artist Jasmine Baetz. Her work commemorates the six University of Colorado Boulder students, alumni, and students from other campuses who were active in the Chicano Student Movement that were killed in two separate car bombings in 1974. Join us as we come together to remember Los Seis de Boulder with the dedication of "El Movimiento Sigue” (The Movement Continues). The event will be held on Tuesday, May 28 from 6 - 7 p.m. on the corner of 17th and Pearl Street. Spanish interpretation will be provided.

The next Professional Artist Forum is on Tuesday, June 4 from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. at Junkyard Social Club. Please RSVP to culturalplan@bouldercolrado.gov if you plan on attending! Guest speaker Brian Corrigan from Farm to Spaceship will be sharing his expertise on the experience economy and how artists can participate.

Tickets for two Signature Performances are now on sale for the City of Boulder’s Arts in the Park program. Community members can purchase general admission tickets for the Boulder Ballet performances on June 1 and 2, and the Boulder Symphony on July 4. In addition, six Community Spotlight Performances have been scheduled so far for June, including a trombone choir and the blues music duo “Mad Dog,” with more to come this summer. Arts in the Park performances take place at the Glen Huntington Band Shell. For more details, please visit the Arts in the Park webpage.
