North Boulder
Non-City projects requiring travel restrictions
Intermittent delays on Betasso and Sugarloaf roads
Motorist can expect brief daytime delays on Betasso and Sugarloaf roads, as well as:

Parking in the pull-off area on the north side of the road, just east of the tunnel, will be restricted. Barricades will be in place. The Link Trail, which leads from Sugar Loaf Road to Boulder Canyon, will remain open for now.

Completion of this project will increase both untreated and treated water supply reliability, as well as mitigate treated water problems. In addition, revenue from hydroelectric power generation and payments for capacity would increase.

Street Resurfacing Program
- For the week of July 6, 30th Street between Mapleton Avenue and the Diagonal Highway wil have intermittent lane closures from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to complete milling, patching and street resurfacing work.
- The annual street resurfacing program rehabilitates selected roadway pavements throughout the city. The program includes collector and arterial roadways, and in some cases, roadways serving as bus routes or bike routes.

Valmont Road lane closures just west 28th
- Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction and shifted to the north side of Valmont Road between Folsom and 28th streets 24 hours a day.
- These closures are necessary to complete utility relocation work related to the Elmer's Twomile Creek Project.

North Broadway Transportation Improvements Project - Iris to Norwood
- There will be intermittent daytime lane closures from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. in both directions of Broadway from Iris to Norwood avenues. Pedestrian and bicycle detours will be in place.

Broadway (Pine to Iris) Reconstruction Project
- For the week of July 6, Broadway will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction from Pine Street to Alpine Avenue and from Elder to Grape avenues 24 hours a day. Left turns from Broadway in this section will be prohibited where marked. Various side street closures and parking restrictions will also be in effect along this stretch of Broadway where marked. Pedestrian detours will be in place where applicable. Other associated project closures include:
- Broadway between Pine and High streets will be closed completely for three nights Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, July 8, 9 and 10. Closures will last from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., and one-way flagging will occur from 8 to 11 p.m. prior to each closing. Local access to the adjoining side streets will be maintained; vehicles will not be able to cross Broadway from side streets in the Pine-North section during this time. The SKIP transit service will be detoured to 13th Street. Vehicle detours will also be in place;
- Broadway between Elder and Forest avenues will be narrowed to one lane of traffic from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Tuesday, July 7 through Friday, July 10. Traffic control personnel will be in place to direct roadway users; and
- One of the left turn lanes on Iris Avenue at Broadway will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m, Monday through Friday.

CU Boulder Regent Drive to close for summer
- Beginning Saturday, May 9 through Saturday, August 15, Regent Drive will be closed between Kittredge Loop Drive and the Leeds School of Business parking lot.
- Roadway users will be able to access Kittredge Loop Drive from the west and the Leeds School of Business parking lot from the east.
- These closures are necessary while CU crews construct Regent Crossing, a pedestrian and bicycle underpass.

Xcel Energy project to close lanes on Colorado Avenue
- The inside traffic lanes in both directions on Colorado Avenue between 28th and Folsom streets will be closed 24 hours.
- The RTD bus stops along this section of Colorado Aveneue will be closed; RTD will post signage directing user to temporary bus stops.
- Additionally, Foothills Parkway between Colorado and Arapahoe avenues will have intermittent daytime lane closures while Xcel crews perform shoulder work. There will also be a partial closure of the right turn lane from northbound Foothills Parkway to eastbound Arapahoe Avenue.
- Ther will also be shoulder work and intermittent lane shifts on Arapahoe Avenue between 63rd Street and Cherryvale Road. Also, 63rd Street between Arapahoe Avenue and Stazio Drive will have intermittent daytime lane closures while crews' case bore under the railroad tracks in front of the Xcel plant.
- Intermittent closures of the right lane (including the bike lane where applicable) on Arapahoe Avenue between Foothills Parkway and 63rd Street
- This work is expected to last approximately 3 to 4 month and progrssively work its way east.

Sidewalk closures near Canyon Boulevard and 11th Street
- The southbound 11th Street sidewalk between Walnut Street and Canyon Blvd. as well as the westbound sidewalk on Canyon Blvd. between 11th and 9th streets will be closed 24 hours a day through the end of February 2009.
- Pedestrian and bicycle detours will be in place. The closures are necessary while a private contractor works on property in the area.

Large summer projects (BVSD, Xcel, Qwest) intermittent lane closures citywide
These three projects will generate a variety of related work in various locations all over the city, which will create traffic impacts and continue for several months. Locations will vary as each project continues. Please contact the associated organization for project specifics and updates.
- Boulder Valley School District (BVSD) Fiber Optic Installation: Intermittent lane closures Monday through Friday throughout the city of Boulder.
