It's the Boulder way to GO.

Boulder's ahead of the curve. Way ahead.

In some places, people talk about the importance of using transportation options. Here, we walk the talk. Or bike it. Or bus it.

And we've been doing it for years. Backed by a solid infrastructure of bicycle paths and lanes and a transit system like none other in the nation, Boulder residents bus, bike or walk more often than people in most American cities.

It's better for the planet, it's better for our bodies and it's better for our peace of mind. It's the Boulder Way to GO.

2009 Commuters of the Year

Walk & Bike Month 2009 is celebrated throughout June, with Bike to Work Day held on Wednesday, June 24. It is presented by GO Boulder and coordinated by Community Cycles. First celebrated as Bike to Work Day in 1977, the event has grown and continues to encourage thousands of commuters to explore their transportation options.

And . . .

Check out a great video produced by Streetfilms that illustrates why Boulder is one of only three cities in the U.S. to have been awarded Platinum level Bicycle Friendly Community status by the League of American Cyclists, a second video on how Boulder's Contraflow Lane is working and a third on how Boulder's Community Transit System has evolved.
