Landmarks Design Review Committee (DRC)

The Landmarks Design Review Committee reviews requests for alterations to individual landmarks and alterations to properties within historic districts. The Design Review Committee includes two Landmarks Board members and a city staff liaison. The committee meets weekly.

The Landmarks Design Review Committee (DRC) is made up of two members of the Landmarks Board (LB) and one Historic Preservation staff person.

The DRC meets weekly to review requests. Any alteration to the exterior of a building or to a landmark site requires review by DRC.

A public hearing before the full LB is required for all new free-standing construction or more than 340 square feet or demolition occurring on landmark sites or properties within historic districts. A LB decision is final unless called up by the City Council.
