Help your community kids today. Help yourself to a tax credit in April.
|
We appreciate your interest in helping young children in Boulder. Below is information about the substantial tax savings available and the ways your money will support child care in our community.
The Child Care Contribution Tax Credit has been suspended effective Jan. 1, 2011, because Colorado's revenue did not reach the necessary 6 percent growth level that is required to maintain the credit. In January 2011, HB 11-1014 was introduces in the Colorado House of Representatives and would make the credit effective again by eliminating the 6 percent revenue growth trigger. Updated information will be posted as it becomes available.

Your Donation Gives Kids Access to Quality Child Care
This area has on average the fourth highest child care cost of any community in Colorado. As a result moderate to low income families face challenges in finding and paying for quality care. Quality care is so important for the critical development which happens in the early years. Your individual or business financial contribution helps make this care more accessible though child care subsidy, training and referral programs.
With funding from multiple agencies, the City of Boulder operates a variety of children’s services programs. These programs are the exclusive recipients of tax credit donations.
Child Care Certificate Program - Provides financial assistance to help eligible, low-income families pay for quality child care.
Child Care Training Program - Trains new family child care providers thus expanding the number of child care options available to families. This program also provides ongoing quality improvement training to existing child care providers.
Child Care Referral Program - Assistance families in finding and evaluating child care. This service is free and open to all family.
