Skate Park at Scott Carpenter Park

1505 30th St. (30th and Arapahoe)

About the Boulder Skateparkskate-park3.jpg

The Boulder Skatepark is an unsupervised, skate-at-your-own-risk facility,  open from dawn to dusk. Know your ability and skate accordingly. BMX bike hours are from 7 to 10 a.m. daily.

The Skatepark features an exciting "street-course " with the lure of rails, curbs, and free-flowing forms and bowls. The skatepark is free and open for skateboarders and in-line skaters. Helmets and pads are highly recommended. Hours are dawn to dusk, just like the park.

The skate park was designed by Shapins Associates and Michael McIntyre, RLA/ASLA, an experienced skateboarder and nationally known skate park architect. In addition, Boulder skaters helped with design work. The Parks and Recreation Department funded part of the project.

Additional funds have been sought through partnerships, sponsorships, and grants. The Boulder Valley YMCA will continue to be an operating partner for the Skatepark. If you would like more information on the skate park advisory committee, call the YMCA at 303-442-2778.

Rules:

Be courteous and respectful of others. Take turns. Have fun!

  • Wet riding surfaces are dangerous! Don’t skate in wet conditions: rain, snow, ice, hail.
  • No riding during maintenance or when the Skatepark is closed.
  • Rules are subject to change as needed and without notice.

The Boulder Skatepark may be closed until further notice if:

  • Any liquid other than rain, snow or hail gets into the streetcourse, bowls or drain system.
  • The riding surface or any part of the facility is damaged.
  • Tagging or graffiti is found on the riding surface. Please use the graffiti wall just north of the Skatepark.

Spectators! Please stay behind the fence, for your own safety and that of Skatepark users.
