Animal Control

The Animal Control Section is comprised of one supervisor and five full-time animal control officers who investigate and respond to vicious or stray animals, nuisance complaints, injured or ill animals, reports of cruelty or neglect, as well as other animal-related issues. To report a violation, please call the Boulder Police Department's non-emergency dispatch number at 303-441-3333. For City of Boulder Animal Control information, please call 303-441-1874.

Living with Wildlife

The City of Boulder contains an abundant wildlife population. Although these animals are wonderful to observe, they can also pose a conflict in close proximity. More information about living with wildlife

Abandoned or injured wildlife can be taken to Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Sanctuary.
