Landmarks Design Review Committee (Ldrc)

The Landmarks Design Review Committee reviews requests for alterations to individual landmarks and alterations to properties within historic districts. The Landmarks Design Review Committee (Ldrc) is made up of two members of the Landmarks Board (LB) and one Historic Preservation staff person.

The committee meets weekly to review requests. Any alteration to the exterior of a building or to a landmark site requires review by the Ldrc.

A public hearing before the full LB is required for all new free-standing construction, or more than 340 square feet or demolition, occurring on landmark sites or properties within historic districts. A LB decision is final unless it is called up by the City Council.
