Boulder's building codes consist of adopted international codes along with local code amendments. The codes and regulations are defined according to the vision the community put forth in the Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan.
Adopted Codes
The International Family of Codes is designed to set predictable and consistent standards that are also practical to follow and adequate for protecting the life, safety and welfare of the public. Proposed local amendments to these codes have been kept to a minimum.
