Community Cleanup Day

You can help beautify Boulder by offering a few hours of your time. Help clean up Boulder by removing trash/recyclables, planting flowers and pulling weeds from parks, greenways and trails. You pick the location and on-site project leaders will provide direction and supplies.

11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m - Celebrate at an ice cream social in Scott Carpenter Park

Register you or your group for a specific location
When you register, tell us how you would like to help.

If you are part of a group (i.e. neighborhood, business, family) that is interested in signing up, please let us know the name of the group and how many are participating.

If you already have a task that you do for the community (i.e., you have previously adopted a park or a median), this is the day to get it done!  Please let us know so we can keep track of all the great things going on during Community Cleanup Day.


How do I sign up?

Day-of-Event registration:
Register on May 16 from 8 - 8:30 a.m. at Scott Carpenter Park(southwest corner of Arapahoe Avenue and 30th Street).

What do I bring?

Work gloves, your energy and a helpful attitude!

Project leaders will have supplies located on site. Supplies include bags for trash and recyclables, plastic gloves and waivers.  You might be asked to bring some of your own tools, depending on what task you are accomplishing.

Save everyone time! Print and fill out the waiver and bring it with you.

What should I do when I have finished my task?

After you are done with your task, we’ll meet at Scott Carpenter Park for an ice cream social to thank our wonderful volunteers!

All participants are invited to the ice cream social. In addition, all participants will receive a one-day pass to Boulder Reservoir and have the chance to win one of the great gifts offered in the prize drawing. Prize winners will be notified within two weeks following the drawing.


Community Cleanup Day is presented by the Boulder City Improvement Association II (BCIA 2), the City of Boulder and the Daily Camera.
