2010 Housing & CDBG Funding Processes

The 2010 CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) Funding Process is gearing up, and the Housing Funding process is underway.   To see the funding schedule for each, CLICK HERE.

 

2010 Community Development Block Grant RFP now available.

The City of Boulder has issued the Request for Proposals (RFP) for the 2010 Community Development grants.

An estimated $325,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds will be available from HUD for this funding process. The purpose of the Community Development Block Grant Program is to meet community development needs, principally for low and moderate-income persons.

You may download a Word version of the RFP application here or call 303-441-3157 to have it emailed to you.  NOTE: the RFP is in four parts:  1) the instructions are a PDF file, the 2) application, 3) project summary sheet, and 4) application checklist are three separate Word forms that you will be able to fill out electronically in Word by using the highlighted check and text boxes.   To navigate within the forms, use the scroll bar.

2010 Housing Fund Review Underway

The proposals for 2010 funding have been received and the Housing Technical Review Group will be reviewing them through September.

Community Development Block Grant Program

Are you an agency located within the City of Boulder serving households with modest incomes?  Does your agency have un-met capital improvement needs?

The City of Boulder receives about $900,000 in CDBG funds from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development each year.  Boulder uses the CDBG grant to support capital improvement projects for agencies that are meeting the needs of low/moderate income residents in the City of Boulder.   Funds are allocated in a competitive process from March - July of each year.

Housing Fund Program

The Housing Fund Program annually distributes over $2 million in funds to support housing and community service efforts in Boulder. The three primary fund sources for the program are the Community Development Block Grant, the HOME program and the Community Housing Assistance Program. Funding priorities are summarized in the:

Regional Consolidated Plan Release Announced!

The Boulder County/Broomfield County HOME Consortium is pleased to announce the completion and release of the first Regional Consolidated Plan for the Boulder County/Broomfield area, providing a vision to direct housing and community development policies and programs through 2009.
