Get to Know Your H2O Speakers Program

Where does our water come from, how can we protect and conserve it? Find the answers to these questions and more by inviting a water expert to visit your group meeting. Find out about a variety of available speakers who can provide information on water conservation at your next meeting.

TOPIC: Water Conservation, Stormwater Quality and Drinking Water
These presentations can be given together or individually and will be interactive and driven by audience interests and questions.

 Water Conservation: This program will cover Boulder drinking water resources, use of water in Boulder, drought information and how citizens (and the city) can do their part to reduce water use both inside and out. Great tips and factual information about water use.

 Stormwater Quality: This presentation will cover stormwater quality (water pollution) issues and how the storm drain system works in Boulder. Ideas for pollution prevention community projects will be discussed.

 Drinking Water: Presentation that covers where Boulder's water comes from, how it is cleaned to drinking water standards, how it is distributed and use, and source water protection issues.

SPEAKER: Curry Rosato, Watershed Outreach Coordinator, City of Boulder

Curry Rosato has been in her current position since July 2001 and has been in the field of Environmental Education for over eight years. Earning her undergraduate degree in Environmental Sciences and her Graduate Degree in Education, Rosato has worked in the field of natural history, recycling and water education. She supports the City of Boulder Water Quality and Environmental Services programs (Water Conservation, Stormwater Quality, Drinking Water and Industrial Pretreatment) by providing education and outreach activities to citizens and students.
