Water Budgets
The City of Boulder implemented a new water rate structure in January 2007 called a "water budget" rate structure. The water budget approach is a unique method of computing monthly water bills by giving each water customer monthly water budgets that are tailored to reflect each customer's indoor and outdoor water needs. *Please note that you are only billed for the water you use and not for the budgeted amount.The city has changed the way water budgets are calculated for multifamily and commercial/industrial/institutional (CII) accounts. Customers with either of these account types can now apply for a water budget adjustment to change their budget to accomodate new variables or budget options.

Personal water budget information is included in each utility bill every every month.
