Seasonal AARP Tax-Aide Program      Tuesdays and Thursdays, February  through April 15

 FLOOD and FIRE SAFETY  preparation tips and evacuation procedures are available at www.boulderoem.com or to sign up for emergency alert messages go to www.bouldercounty.org/sheriff or 303-651-8550.  During an actual emergency the outdoor sirens will sound for five minutes. During a test, they will sound for two minutes. The same signal is used whether the emergency is a flood, tornado, or other disaster. If you hear a siren, tune to a local TV or radio station for further information.

Seniors celebrated "Dia de los Muertos" at the Longmont Cultural Center.

We also toured the Boulder Ice Cream facilities,  enjoyed a wine tasting event at a local winery and visited the Denver Fire Department Museum.                                           

 Both the East and West Senior Centers have a number of rooms of different sizes that are available for rent for your party or meeting.

Boulder Senior Services is a member of the County-wide Leadership Team headed by the Area Agency on Aging which prepares a strategic vision every four years for older adults in Boulder County.  After an extensive survey, essential elements of an elder friendly community have been identified. Please visit the cooperative web site  Area Agency on Aging  to learn about "Creating Vibrant Communities in Which We All Age Well".

Unless you're on the lookout for a place to use your laptop, you may not even notice when you're in a hotspot at the East and West Senior Centers. Both centers offer free wireless networks (Wi-Fi) with access to the Internet.
