There are some great volunteer opportunities available right now at the Boulder Police Department!

We are looking for volunteers to be:

  • Accessible Parking Team (APT)  members - Our APT patrols private parking areas of Boulder and issues tickets to people who park illegally in handicapped parking spots. A four hour training is required. For more information, or to apply contact Diane Herzberg at 303.441.3334.

Our Volunteer Program

  • is an outstanding program that has been in place for over 15 years.
  • has a very well-developed Victim Advocate program with approximately 50 volunteers.
  • regularly supports the entire department, working in detectives, records, property and evidence, traffic, patrol, and crime analysis.

Our Volunteers are Valuable!

  • They greatly enhance department effectiveness.
  • They expand our community partnerships.
  • They contribute to the department's outstanding reputation.
  • In 2010, volunteers contributed over 4,000 hours to the department and the community.
