Where to find Reserved Accessible Parking in Boulder
Reserved accessible parking is provided in designated street spaces as well as downtown Central Area General Improvement District (CAGID) parking structures. These spaces are signed and marked, limiting use to vehicles displaying a valid handicap placard/license plate.

  • 11th and Spruce
    (height 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor 7'0"),
    (the basement and 4th floor are 6'8")
    has 10 reserved accessible spaces

  • 11th and Walnut (Randolph Center),
    (height 6'9") has 6 reserved accessible spaces

  • 14th and Walnut (RTD)
    (height 7'0") has 8 reserved accessible spaces

  • 15th and Pearl
    (height 7' 2" ) has 14 reserved accessible spaces

  • 10th and Walnut
    (height 7') has 10 reserved accessible spaces

Parking Rates, Fines and Payment Options

Rates:
Parking Meters are $1.25 per hour.  Maximum time limits are posted on the meters.   Days/Hours 9 am – 7 pm Monday-Saturday. Parking garages are $1.25 per hour for the first four hours and $2.50 per hour after that. Parking is free on Saturdays and Sundays in the garages and on Sundays at the meters.

All accessible parking meters in the City of Boulder accept coins, token and Meter Keys.

Fines:
The fine for parking at an expired meter is $15. The fine for parking in a reserved accessible space without a handicap placard/ license plate is $112.00.

Meter Keys:

Prepaid Parking Permit Program:
This program allows disabled individuals with a valid handicap placard/plate to prepay for metered parking.  These permits may be used in all metered spaces including designated accessible metered spaces.  The permits are sold individually for $4.00, or in books of ten for $40.00.  Each coupon allows for parking up to four hours on one day without operating a meter.

These permits may be purchased from the City of Boulder Parking Services in person or by mail at 1500 Pearl St., Boulder, CO  80302.  For more information or to order coupons call 303-413-7300.

Meter Keys are pre-programmed with $5 increments of time. When you fully insert the Meter Key in the meter the dollar value remaining on the Meter Key will appear on the display. Each time the Meter Key is inserted into the meter $.25 is deducted from the key and 12 minutes worth of time is put on the meter. When the desired amount of time is on the meter, remove the Meter Key and take it with you. Meter Keys can be used at any City of Boulder meters.
