City Responds to Unauthorized Publication of Coroner Photos

The City of Boulder strongly deplores the unauthorized distribution and publication of coroner photos related to the death of JonBenet Ramsey.

Boulder Police are confident that the investigation by Boulder County Sheriff George Epp and his deputies, being conducted in cooperation with Boulder County Coroner Dr. John Meyer, will be thorough and will find who is responsible for this violation.

Boulder police believe that this unauthorized release will not impede the ongoing investigation. However, any information which becomes public or common knowledge prior to an arrest will restrict the police department's ability to confront the person(s) responsible for the homicide with specific facts in the case which would otherwise only be known to the perpetrator.
