Report a crime

The Boulder Police Department offers several different ways to report a crime.

By Telephone:

Please call 911 only if you are reporting an EMERGENCY.

Please call dispatch's non-emergency line to report other crimes or incidents. This phone number is 303-441-3333.

Online:

The police department is proud to offer a more convenient and immediate way to file a police report. Online reporting is now available for most property-type crimes. For more information and easy instructions, please click on the online reporting form.

In Person:

Counter reports can be made in the lobby of the Public Safety Building, 1805 33rd St., weekdays between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Please be aware that there may be a wait if the report requires a conversation with an officer and the officer has to be called in from the street.

If you are reporting a FINANCIAL CRIME, such as forgery, identity theft or embezzlement, please check out our Financial Crimes Information Page first. There are some specific directions, plus forms for you to fill out, that will make our investigation of your allegations go more smoothly.
