Floodplain MapsFloodplain maps provide the basis for flood management, regulation and insurance requirements, by identifying areas flood-prone areas that can threaten life and property. These maps guide flood management programs, including floodplain preservation and regulation, flood safety and preparation, and mitigation. Find out if your property is located in a floodplain using our interactive floodplain map. You can also get a Public Flood Map or a Flood Insurance Rate Map from the FEMA Map Service Center. If you want P&DS to look up your floodplain information for you, fill out the Floodplain Information Request form and either fax it to 303-441-4241 or drop it off in person at 1739 Broadway, third floor. Floodplain Map ChangesFloodplain maps are periodically updated and revised to reflect changing conditions, such as new topography, land development, updated mapping studies, impacts of flooding, and construction of floodplain improvements.
