Private lessons and Parties

Celebrations with clay!

Celebrate a birthday, baby shower, reunion, book group or any gathering of friends with a pottery party for adults. We will handbuild functional, fanciful, and fun clay pieces and paint them with brightly colored clay slips. Make something you’ve always wanted to make or let the instructor be your guide. Parties are 2.5 hours and can be scheduled for weekday, evening or weekend times.

Private lessons or coaching sessions

This is an opportunity for individual attention for an accelerated, more personally directed, and exciting investigation of clay. For children and teens ages 8-16 or adults. You can learn hand building, wheel throwing, and decoration techniques, in a regular class or project based structure. You determine the focus. Lessons must be completed within our regular 9 week session. Minimum of four lessons, maximum of 8 for classes or schedule one private coaching session.
$50(R)/$62(N) for private coaching session
$40(R)/$50(N) for each hour in a series of lessons

Pottery classes for home schooled students

These classes are designed to provide home schooled children with an avenue for artistic development and socialization, or to come with a parent and explore clay together.  Students will learn pinch, coil, and slab construction, and a variety of decoration techniques. Classes can be based on specific projects.
