ClimateSmart Solar Grant
City Council has approved a solar rebate ordinance which went into effect on December 14, 2006. This solar rebate ordinance created a renewable energy fund, and a portion of the renewable energy fund, 65 %, is dedicated for the purpose of providing financial assistance through grants toward installation of photovoltaic (PV) or solar thermal systems on housing for low to moderate income persons, and on the facilities of site-based non-profit entities operating in Boulder.
