West Trail Study Area

Open Space and Mountain Parks is developing a plan for the City of Boulder's western open space. The West Trail Study Area plan will guide the use and management of these lands for the next ten years. We invite you to learn more about the West Trail Study Area and get involved in the planning process.

The West Trail Study Area (shown in green) extends west of Broadway and SH 93 from Linden Ave. to Eldorado Springs Drive.

Trail Study Area Planning focuses on existing designated trail systems, undesignated trails, activities on the trails and asks how existing trails can be modified to improve:

quality of visitor experience
visitor access opportunities
physical sustainability of the trails system
protection and restoration of natural and cultural resources
