Project Introduction

The Boulder City Council requested that Planning and Development Services analyze the RH-2 zoning district. The request was initiated because of concerns related to parking and density regulations in the zone. The RH-2 district allows a variety of residential development types, including single-family houses, duplexes, condominiums, and apartments, as well as complimentary non-residential uses.

Staff has finished an initial analysis of the of the RH-2 zoning district and hosted a community meeting to discuss potential regulatory changes. The meeting was held on Dec. 17, 2008. Feedback from the community meeting was presented to Planning Board at their March 19, 2009 meeting as an update.

Next Steps

RH-2 Zone District Project has been removed from the Nov. 5, 2009 Planning Board meeting. 

The item has been rescheduled for Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009.

RH-2 Zoning Community Meeting

Wednesday, Dec. 17 | 6 to 8 p.m. | West Senior Center, 909 Arapahoe Ave.

Agenda:

Presentation and Question/Answer: 6 - 6:30 p.m.
Presentation on the RH-2 zoning district, including project objectives and key issues.

Small Group Interaction: 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Participants will work in small groups based on geographic location within the city.

Reporting Out and Next Steps: 7:30 - 8 p.m.
Each small group will report out their findings to the larger group so all issues/concerns can be shared. Staff will wrap up the meeting by outlining the next steps in the project.
