2009 Fee Changes

At it's Feb. 17, 2009 meeting, City Council adopted the following fee changes that will  be taken into effect March 19, 2009:

Building Permit Fees

  • The pdf square foot construction cost table used to calculate valuation has been adjusted.*
  • The pdf building permit fee table has been adjusted.
  • Initial building permit application fees will now include resubmittals.
  • Valuation for alterations, repairs, remodels and tenant remodels will no longer be based on contractor valuation. Valuation will be calculated using the square footage of the project and the square foot construction cost table.

Any building permit that is currently in review and not approved by March 18 or any permit that has been approved but not paid in full by 12:00 noon on March 18, 2009, will be subject to the new valuation and permit fees described above (valuations for alterations, repairs, remodels and tenant remodels will not be changed).

*This change will affect the sales and use tax that is collected at time of permit issuance.
