About Us
ClimateSmart at WorkThe City of Boulder's ClimateSmart at Work Program aims to reduce energy costs, improve the comfort and performance of Boulder's buildings, and make businesses more profitable. The city is partnering with Xcel Energy in 2008 to provide a greater range of services for the Boulder community. The services will help you make smart, cost-effective decisions about lowering operating costs and increasing the comfort and reliability of your buildings. In addition, high performance buildings are eligible for special recognition from the City of Boulder. Over sixty Boulder businesses have participated in this program since its launch in 2004. What do participating businesses receive? Energy audit performed by professional engineers • Recommendations for no/low cost strategies for saving energy, operations and maintenance strategies and retrofit opportunities • Assistance in receiving utility rebates for your projects and reviewing contractor bids Which building types are eligible to participate in the program? What is the purpose of this program? How much does it cost? How do I sign up? You can also contact Kevin Afflerbaugh at 303-441-4191 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
