RED
or BLUE day?

The Air Quality Control Division issues a daily pollution advisory for the Denver/Boulder metro region. Current pollution levels are combined with forecasted weather patterns for the next 24 hours to determine the type of advisory. The advisory is issued at 4 p.m. for the following day. For daily updates, check http://apcd.state.co.us/psi/advisory.phtml

red.jpgRED pollution advisories indicate that either current air quality is poor or conditions are expected to worsen later in the day or the next day. Red advisories trigger mandatory wood burning restrictions and voluntary driving reductions.

blue.jpgBLUE pollution advisories indicate that air quality is good or moderate and no restrictions are required while the advisory is in effect.
