Communications Manager

TedCommunications Manager Ted McEldowney started his career with the Boulder Police Department in 2002 as a dispatcher.  He was promoted to Dispatch Supervisor in 2004, Interim Manager in 2011, and permanently hired as Communications Manager in 2012. 

Ted oversees the Communication Center, a 24/7 operation responsible for answering 9-1-1 and non-emergency calls for the City of Boulder and dispatches for Boulder Police, Boulder Fire, Open Space Mountain Parks, animal control, code enforcement, and parking services.

Ted also co-oversees the Boulder Police Technical Team (PTT) with Records Manager, Patty Raab.  This team is responsible for maintaining many of the technical systems used within the Boulder Police Department.

Ted holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Monmouth College.
