Police release photo in lottery ticket theft cases
Boulder police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect who may have information about two burglaries involving stolen lottery tickets. The suspect was photographed attempting to redeem the stolen tickets at various other locations.
The tickets were stolen during two burglaries at the Boulder Mart, 1713 Pearl Street. The first occurred sometime between the store closing on Nov. 27, 2009, and opening on Nov. 28, 2009. The other occurred the next night.
Additional investigation revealed that several unsuccessful attempts were made to redeem the stolen tickets during the final days of November 2009 and the first week of December 2009 at a variety of Boulder, Louisville and Longmont locations.
Anyone with information about these crimes or the suspect pictured in the photographs is asked to call Detective Craig Beckjord at 303-441-3330 as soon as possible. Those who have information but wish to remain anonymous should contact the Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or 1-800-444-3776. Tips can also be submitted via the Crime Stoppers Web site at www.crimeshurt.com. Those submitting tips through Crime Stoppers that lead to the arrest and filing of charges on a suspect(s) may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 from Crime Stoppers.
