Section No. 7-6-13(b)(1): Parking within 5 feet of Driveway/Alleyway
It is illegal to park within 5 feet of a public or private driveway or alleyway.

Vehicles exiting driveways and alleyways need to have a clear view of traffic on the street. Vehicles parked too close to driveways and alleyways make it impossible to get a clear view of the street, compromising the ability of the exiting vehicles to do so safely.
The following diagram shows the correct method for parking near driveways and alleyways:
