Letters

 

The court sends letters to registered vehicle owners notifying them if they owe money and/or are on the tow list, also known as the "scofflaw" or "pickup" list. The various types of letters are shown below. 

Partial Payment Letter
Courtesy Letter (non-payment)
Scofflaw Letter (vehicle on tow list)
Subsequent Pickup List Letter

Partial Payment Letter

This letter is sent out if a parking ticket payment is deficient or is received past the deadline on the ticket. It advises you of the balance due and the consequences of not paying the amount owed.

Courtesy Letter

This letter is sent out if no payment is received after the deadline on the ticket. It advises you of the amount owed and the possible consequences of non-payment.

Scofflaw Letter

This letter is sent out if no response came from the Courtesy letter by the due date. It advises that the vehicle has been placed on the "scofflaw" list and will be towed. It also tells you the amount owed.

Subsequent Pickup List Letter

This letter is sent out monthly when a vehicle on the Pickup List gets a new violation. It advises the registered owner of the updated amount due that must be paid to remove the vehicle from the tow list.
