New and Separate Infractions, §7-6-4(a) & (b)
It is possible to receive more than one ticket for the same violation. B.R.C. §7-6-4 allows multiple tickets, as explained below.
For each overtime parking infraction, a new and separate infraction occurs when a vehicle remains illegally parked for more than the maximum allowable time for parking after the issuance of the preceding parking ticket. As an example, if you received a ticket for overtime parking in an area where parking is allowed for a maximum of three hours, you can receive a second overtime parking ticket if it is at least three hours since the previous ticket was issued.
For all other parking infractions, a new and separate infraction occurs when a vehicle remains illegally parked for more than two hours after the issuance of the preceding parking ticket. As an example, if you received a ticket for Parking on Sidewalk, you can receive a second ticket for the same violation if it is at least two hours since the previous ticket was issued.
