Section No. 7-6-13(a)(7): Parking on Highway
Parking is prohibited on any street with two or more lanes for moving traffic in both directions, or on any state highway. These streets are designed for higher travel speeds. If a vehicle attempts to stop or park on this type of street, it will likely block a lane of traffic in the process. Other drivers are not expecting this type of situation, and there is a high potential for accidents.
