Section No. 7-6-13(b)(5): Parking within 50 feet of Railroad Grade
Vehicles may not be stopped, parked on nor within 50 feet of any railroad tracks. Vehicles parked too close to a railroad may obstruct the vision of drivers approaching the railroad. This creates a safety hazard. While many railroads have devices to warn drivers of an approaching train, some do not. Additionally, there is potential for these warning devices to malfunction.
