Become a licensed contractor 

The city license for contractors does require testing, but this does not mean the city endorses these businesses.

Apply for a City of Boulder contractor license:
Find the below document in the one-stop P&DS Form, Application and Publication Database .  Use the search field to find the documents you require.

Terms of Licenses
Any contractor’s license has a term of 12 months from date of issuance. In order to renew a license, the license holder shall apply and pay the fees as required.

Licensing Fees
Contractor licensing fees can be found in Sections 4-20-4, 4-20-13, 4-20-15, 4-20-21, and 4-20-56 of the Boulder Revised Code, or you may obtain a copy of the Schedule of Fees from our office located at 1739 Broadway, third floor.
