Oct. 31, 2011 - Boulder Senior Services Winter 2011-2012 Magazine now availableMedia Contacts: Boulder Senior Services Winter 2011-2012 Magazine now available The Boulder Senior Services Winter 2011-2012 magazine has been mailed to City of Boulder seniors and can also be picked up at the West Boulder Senior Center, 909 Arapahoe Ave., the East Boulder Senior Center, 5660 Sioux Drive or viewed online at www.boulderseniorservices.com. Registration for winter programs begins on Tuesday, Nov. 15, for Encore members and Thursday, Nov. 17, for all others. Walk-in and phone registration begins at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 18. Anyone age 55 or older is welcome to enroll in programs, and city residents age 60 and older are eligible for Senior Resources consultations. The Senior Resources staff offers individualized consultation and resource referrals. Call to learn about and understand the resources available to adults age 60 and over and their families. Staff can help community members clarify their needs, understand options, learn to maneuver application processes, balance caregiving and develop a plan of action. New offerings in the magazine include: Lavender Gala, Sunday, Dec. 11; Financial Assistance Seminar, Wednesday, Jan. 18; Dinner Sleigh Ride, Saturday, Feb. 4; Ventriloquist, Monday, Feb. 13; and several hearing loss programs. The East and West Senior Centers have a number of rooms of different sizes available for rent for an event, party or meeting.
