City of Boulder now recruiting for 2012 boards and commissions

The City Council is currently accepting applications for city boards and commissions. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16.

City boards offer residents a unique opportunity to become involved in local government and in the community.  The boards and commissions collaborate with and advise particular city departments and City Council on related issues. 

Service on all boards is voluntary. Generally, applicants must be a registered voter, 18 years of age and reside within city limits. 

There are 18 boards that have vacancies. A list of current vacancies is available online at www.bouldercolorado.gov.  Each board and commission has specific responsibilities and requirements.  Applications are available online at www.bouldercolorado.gov.
