Evaluating the Voice and Sight Tag Program

The Voice and Sight Tag (Tag) Program was initiated in 2006 as a trial. Both the Boulder City Council and the Open Space Board of Trustees (OSBT) have indicated interest in a review of the program. As one of several "overarching issues," City Council directed OSMP staff to evaluate the program. Information about the evaluation, updates about the process, and opportunities for community input will be available on this webpage.

The Evaluation Process

In December 2011, OSMP released the results of a monitoring study assessing if the program has achieved its objectives.

OSMP has prepared an evaluation of the Tag Program. The evaluation includes:

• background information on the program;
• findings about goal and objective achievement; and
• an analysis of alternative approaches or improvements.

The public review draft has been replaced by a revised January 22, 2013 version. Changes to the evaluation include an updated implementation expenditure table, footnote changes, additions and clarifications to several enhancement options, evaluation summaries and general text edits.

Next Steps

The OSBT considered the complete package of program enhancements to recommend to City Council on April 10, 2013. Staff will now go to City Council with recommended changes and council action on the Voice and Sight Tag Program.
