Boulder’s Energy Future project kicks-off 2012 speaker series tomorrow through collaboration with RASEI Big Energy Seminar; city-hosted events also scheduled To help inform residents, business leaders and other interested individuals about issues surrounding climate change and energy, the City of The first four events that have been scheduled are part of CU-Boulder’s Renewable and Sustainable Energy Institute (RASEI), which is a joint venture with the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). This program addresses important, complex problems in energy that require a multidisciplinary, multi-institutional approach. RASEI’s mission is to expedite solutions that transform energy by advancing renewable energy science, engineering, and analysis through research, education, and industry partnerships. The following events are part of RASEI’s “Big Energy Seminar” and are free and open to the public: Diminishing Hype of So-Called “Clean Coal:” Carbon, Capture and Storage (CCS) in the o o o Old Main Chapel on the CU Boulder campus Energy Supplies and Climate with David Rutledge – California Institute of Technology o o o Materials – The Technology Barrier to Advanced Batteries for Energy Storage with M.
