Boulder police officers assisted with the 4/20 event at the University of Colorado. Event was peaceful. Attendance was down from previous years.

Police were called to the 5000 block of Butte on a medical assist. A 54-year old female who had complained of chest pains was dead. Circumstances are not suspicious.

Police arrested a 24-year-old male in the 2300 block of Walnut around 2:05 a.m. after an officer in the area saw the male ignore a stop sign. As the officer was initiating the traffic stop, the suspect ran from his vehicle and police found him hiding in some bushes. They also found a number of firearms inside the vehicle. The suspect failed roadside maneuvers and was arrested on suspicion of DUI, DUI Per Se, Resisting Arrest, Obstructing a Police Officer, Possession of a Firearm While Under the Influence, Failure to Yield at a Stop Sign, Failure to Present Evidence of Insurance and Criminal Mischief. 12-5331

A group of skiers and snowboarders celebrating the end of the season had a party in the area of 9th and Balsam. Approximately 150 – 200 people were in attendance and many ran when police arrived. The two hosts were cited for Permits Needed for Organized Events because they did not file a city permit for the party. 12-5355

A woman who refused to leave a downtown bar was arrested on several charges in the 1900 block of 13th around 1:52 a.m. The woman had been asked to leave at bar close several times and apparently refused. The manager told police that the woman had punched him in the face.  When police arrested her, she fought with the officer and told the officer that her father works for NASA, and that she had a degree. She tried to shatter the glass of the patrol vehicle by kicking it during transport to the jail. The 22-year-old suspect was charged with Second Degree Trespassing, Third Degree Assault, Resisting Arrest and Obstructing a Peace Officer. 12-5375
