Boulder Parks and Recreation summer recreation guide and annual report available online; program registration begins May 1

City of Boulder Parks and Recreation summer fitness, camps and recreation program registration will begin online at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 1.

Boulder area residents should receive the new recreation guide (with an attached 2011 annual report) in their mailboxes or daily newspapers the week of April 30. The guides also will be available in city recreation centers and many local stores and restaurants.

This summer, the city is offering more than 700 programs for youth, adults and seniors.

The new recreation guide features a comprehensive description of all summer camps, classes, programs and special events ranging from arts and concerts to sports, outdoor swimming and yoga. The guide also announces several free special events and offers available this summer.

The 2011 annual report to the community features the Parks and Recreation Department’s highlights and accomplishments from the previous year.

Both the summer recreation guide and 2011 annual report are currently available online at www.BoulderParks-Rec.org. Online registration will also be available at this site on May 1.
