May 9, 2012 - Road closed as police investigate two-vehicle accidentMay 9, 2012 Road closed as police investigate two-vehicle accident South Boulder Rd., between Foothills Parkway and 55th, is closed in both directions as police investigate an accident involving a Ford Bronco and an RTD bus. The accident happened around 11:16 a.m. A woman, who police believe to be in her nineties, has been taken to the hospital to be treated for serious injuries sustained in the accident. The woman was driving the Bronco eastbound on South Boulder Road, when she collided with an RTD bus. There were no passengers in the Bronco or on the bus, and the bus driver was not injured. Police are investigating the accident and have not determined which driver was at fault. Police will notify the public and the media when South Boulder Rd. is reopened.
