Police responded to a call about a possible fire in the 2400 block of Spruce around 5:52 p.m. A resident had fallen asleep and had left food on the stove, which was causing the smoke. The 21-year-old resident was wanted on a Boulder County warrant and was arrested. 12-7396

Saturday, June 2, 2012

A 20-year-old female was reportedly yelling and kicking various doors in the 2800 block of Aurora around 3:53 p.m. The female told police she was looking for her friend’s house. She was arrested on charges of Criminal Mischief, Alcohol Possession and Unlawful Possession of a Fictitious Identification card, and MIP. 12-7418

A 38-year-old man was arrested in the area of Broadway and Cedar around 1:28 a.m. after witness reported that the suspect hit his roommate’s car and then drove away. In all, there were four vehicles involved. Police located the suspect walking nearby, and smelled alcohol. The suspect denied drinking and refused roadside maneuvers. He was arrested on charges of DUI and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. 12-7414

An officer witnessed a car fail to stop at a red light and attempted to stop the driver. The female driver was seen weaving and speeding, and the driver refused to pull over immediately for police. When she finally pulled over and was asked why she didn’t do it immediately when the officer activated the vehicle lights, she said it was because “she lived right here.” The 18-year-old admitted to several drinks before driving and failed roadside maneuvers. She faces charges of DUI, DUI Per Se, Underage Possession of Alcohol and Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Signal. 12-7412
