NAIOP Rocky Mountain Real Estate Challenge

As part of engaging  all segments of the community, the city partnered with NAIOP Colorado to feature the Boulder Civic Area Project in their annual 'Rocky Mountain Real Estate Challenge.'

The challenge engages local grad students from the University of Colorado and the University of Denver to provide detailed proposals for public and private development projects in the Denver Metro region.

Student teams responded to an RFP formatted case statement that weighed the civic goals, the economic realities and the environmental constraints of the site.

At an event on May 1, the University of Colorado team was announced the challenge winner!

Through the challenge, the city gained a better understanding of the various development options for the site and an evaluation of the cost/benefits of different ideas for this important area.
