Residents may notice a slight change in the taste of their water on Wednesday, June 20

City of Boulder water customers in Gunbarrel, Heatherwood, Hoover Hills, and areas north of Arapahoe Avenue and east of Foothills Parkway may notice a slight change in the taste of their water on Wednesday, June 20, when the Boulder Reservoir Water Treatment Plant switches water intake sources from the Boulder Reservoir to the Boulder Feeder Canal.

Service changes are a normal part of water treatment and distribution operations. No service interruptions are expected while the water source change occurs.

Water customers in western Boulder will not be affected because they receive their water from Barker Reservoir via the Betasso Water Treatment Facility.

For more information about Boulder’s water resources or drinking water quality, contact Water Quality and Environmental Services at 303-413-7400 or visit www.boulderwater.net.
