Parks and Recreation Department offering special pricing at the Boulder Reservoir on July 4

The Boulder Parks and Recreation Department is offering special pricing at the Boulder Reservoir on the July 4 Independence Day holiday.

Special pricing is as follows:

  • Vehicles: Drive-in visitors will be charged a per vehicle gate fee instead of the regular individual entrance fees. The fee for each vehicle will be $20 for up to eight people.
  • Bicyclists: Those arriving on bicycles will receive free entry.
  • Walkers: Walk-in visitors will be charged $6 for adults and $4 for children and seniors.

“We are offering this special pricing on the Fourth of July to help everyone enjoy their holiday by beating the heat at beautiful Boulder Reservoir,” said Boulder Reservoir Manager Stacy Cole.

On Wednesday, July 4, the Boulder Reservoir swim beach and the boathouse will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.  The reservoir’s incoming gates will close at 6 p.m., and the park will close at 7 p.m.

People coming to the Boulder Reservoir will not be able to bring in their own grills due to the current fire ban. Staff will set up a grilling station for patrons to use to grill food on their own. There are no grill rentals on July 4.

Vehicles left overnight on July 4 will not be charged an additional fee. Dogs and glass containers are not allowed at the Boulder Reservoir.

For more information, call the Boulder Reservoir at 303-441-3461.
