Two 21-year-old men face multiple charges after allegedly attacking numerous people with bear repellant (pepper spray). The men were apparently upset that specially-painted, red/white/blue letters designating their fraternity, which had been put out the night before, had been stolen. After a day of drinking, the men decided to exact some revenge on the thief. They allegedly went to a home in the 900 block of 17th and sprayed bear repellant into the living room, where someone was sitting. They then allegedly fled on their scooter, and sprayed another cloud of bear repellant at a group of people standing in the yard of a nearby fraternity house, also in the 900 block of 17th. As they were making their getaway on their scooter, the wind shifted and blew the cloud of bear repellant back toward the suspects, who were overcome and who then wrecked their scooter. Police arrested both men and they face charges ranging from (multiple) Second Degree Assault, First Degree Burglary and Accessory to a Felony. 12-8888
