THE PLAN:

• Increase the percentage of trips made by transit, bike, and walking.
• Encourage the use of low-emission vehicles.

Vehicle use accounts for over 20% of Boulder's greenhouse gas emissions. Although our investments in transit, bike paths and other strategies have achieved significant reductions in local driving, we still depend on cars to meet many of our transportation needs. We need to drive less and use more fuel-efficient vehicles if we are going to meet community goals.
