Urban Forest Division | Transportation/Maintenance | Open Space & Mountain Parks Urban Forestry Division Urban Forestry will place pheromone packets in all the Scotch and Austrian pine trees on Pearl Street Mall; the pheromones will be up from July through October, 2012. The packets contain a mountain pine beetle anti-aggregation pheromone to prevent attack by mountain pine beetles. Open Space & Mountain Parks Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) will apply Milestone, EPA Category III herbicide, to approximately 1/100th of an acre of scattered Orange hawkweed on the Damen property, located on Bison drive, South of Flagstaff Drive. OSMP will cut-stump apply Garlon 4 and Rodeo, EPA Category III herbicides, to invasive trees on the VanVleet property, locted south of South Boulder Road, west of Cherryvale Road and west of South Boulder Creek. OSMP staff will spot apply Rodeo, an EPA Category III herbicide, on purple loosestrife at IBM property, located east and west of the Diagonal Highway and south of Mineral Road. OSMP will cut-stump apply Garlon 4 and Rodeo, EPA Category III herbicides, to Russian olive on Weiser property, located east of 75th Street and north of Valmont Road. Parks & Recreation Parks Operations staff be spot applying Rodeo, an EPA Category III herbicide, to puncture vine/goat heads, and Canadian thistle in the natural areas along the trails at Valmont Bike Park, located at Valmont Road and Airport Road. The south parking lot will also be spot treated with Rodeo for thistle, bindweed and other broad leaf weeds. Parks & Recreation Parks Operations staff be spot applying Rodeo, an EPA Category III herbicide, to various weeds at Valmont Dog Park, located at 5275 Valmont Road.
