Thomas Trujillo, 303-441-3338 Police investigate possible kidnap/sexual assault On Sunday morning, July 29th, at 4:14 a.m., police responded to a report of a kidnap/sexual assault. This incident started in the area of the Boulderado Hotel, 13th and Spruce Street, around bar close at 2:00 a.m. when the victim was grabbed and forced into a dark blue SUV reported as either a Ford Explorer or Expedition. She was reportedly driven to an unknown residence in the area of 17th and University where she was sexually assaulted. After the assault, she was able get away from her captors and ran to 28th and Arapahoe where she contacted a friend who called police. There are two different suspects described by the victim: Suspect #1 is a white male, believed to be in his 40’s, approximately 6-feet-03, described as having a big gut. His hair cut was described as “buzzed.” He was last seen without a shirt and described as having a very hairy chest. Suspect #2 is a white male, believed to be in his 40’s, shorter than the first suspect, but described as tall. (The victim is very short.) He was described as skinny. It was noted that he had very blue eyes. The victim will be working with a police composite artist in the next few days. Police are looking for any witnesses that may have observed the suspects prior to the incident, or forcing the victim into the SUV in the area of 13th and Spruce.
