Blotter - July 30, 3012

Police cited a 25-year-old man after an incident in which one of the man’s dogs, which was not on a leash, approached a couple at 5^th and Morrison Alley. The incident happened around 9:15 p.m. The couple thought the dog was acting in an aggressive manner toward them, and the male half of the couple sprayed the dog with pepper spray. The dog owner confronted the couple. The male victim told police he felt threatened by the dog owner and sprayed pepper spray at the dog owner after warning the owner not to come near him. The victim says the dog owner hit him. The dog owner was cited for Third Degree Assault and Dogs Running at Large. 12-10218
